(SPOILER ALERT! The following is a synopsis of the second episode of 𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒄𝒉-𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒔, the ongoing story for Season Two of the Dark Corners podcast.)

We learn two things from a phone conversation Daniel has with his sister Deidre; that she doesn’t feel their lawyer is being totally forthcoming about their father’s affairs, and that their only surviving family member is a grandmother, their father’s mother, whom Deidre visits from time to time in a nursing home.
Daniel goes for another walk, this time in the moonlight, and lights flickering in the woods lead him to observe a group of people dressed in outlandish costumes participating in a bizarre ritual. Inexplicably he finds himself at the center of their ceremony, only to have them disappear without a trace.
Another light draws him to the factory ruins, where he meets Laura Frasier, a psychologist who is also a paranormal investigator. They experience ghostly footsteps which move down iron steps from the catwalk above them, and then ascend again without them being able to observe whatever is making the sounds. They distinctly hear the sounds of a door opening in what used to be a large office on the second floor. The ear-splitting sounds of factory machines running at full speed suddenly fills the air although there are no machines to be seen.
And then they hear a baby crying.
