(SPOILER ALERT! The following is a synopsis of the fifth episode of πΎππππ-πΎππππ, the ongoing story for Season Two of the Dark Corners podcast.)
Laura is with Daniel at his farm and senses how deeply troubled he is about the repeated incidents of finding razor blades in apples. He fears that perhaps he is putting the razor blades there subconsciously and wonders if heβs going crazy.
Laura suggests that he allow her to conduct a therapy session using hypnosis to see if that might help him remember any self-destructive behavior that might have happened.
In the session, Daniel begins to talk in strange voices, the first being that of his father, Frank, and then his grandfather, Jack. We learn that Jack may have set the fire that burned down the Black Cat Toy Factory and injured the owner, Harold OβBannon. Laura then hears a voice speaking with an Irish brogue that says he is neither Frank nor Jack but that he has a message for Daniel. Light from a fire that is not present in the room flickers on the walls, and books and bottles fly across the room smashing into pictures on the wall.
When Laura brings Daniel out of his hypnotic state, he is astonished at the damage in the room. Before Laura can explain what had happened, they both hear deep laughter and a voice say, βNow the gates are open.β
